X10000 Remember last year when they dropped by about $30k for the NEW ones. Holy crap, I would have been PEEVED!!! |
+1 #losercruiser #youain'tspecial #EVERYbodyhaveone! #Oprahbeengivingawaycarsagain?? No thank you. |
| Y'all about ten years behind, is all. |
| We’re about to buy Tesla number 3. Had the first one for 6 years and the second for 3. We love them. Have a level 2 charger at home and work. |
Yeah, like my new Honda didn't get recalled. The part that they need to fix the problem, won't come in til August. I have had to take it in 6 times in 5 years and all this with under $17k miles on it only. I was told I can't park under the trees. Then battery died and I forgot the other issues... |
Teslas have brakes! Those are expensive. We're on our 3rd Tesla. |
| Had a 2023 Model X rental for the last two weeks and freakin' loved it. Next car purchase for sure. |
I only drive BMWs and they’ve always been fabulous and lasted 10 years or more. Why would you buy a car that you need to dispose of after only 3 years? That’s a red flag. |
+1 I too wondered about getting rid of a Tesla after 3 years |
Just like some people like to upgrade their iPhones, some car owners like to upgrade to the latest and greatest model. Although Tesla doesn’t change the names of their vehicles, they upgrade minor aspects of the hardware in each vehicle each year. And once every six to eight years, Tesla releases a major refresh (which they are doing this year). Compared to the original Tesla 3 model released 2018, the redesigned Tesla Model 3 Performance, slated for release in 60 days, includes: redesigned front and rear fascia LED headlights that dynamically adjust brightness and direction to oncoming traffic and road conditions to achieve maximum brightness without blinding incoming drivers greater efficiency and range due to improvements in aerodynamics much quieter cabin (noise dampening glass and insulation throughout) greater acceleration (0-60 in 2.9 seconds) more comfortable seats (heavier bolstering with ventilation; previously, only had heating) smoother ride (redesigned suspension to soften impacts) upgraded AI computer and upgraded cameras for cruise control, self driving, and safety features upgraded Playstion-level 3D video processor and a new video screen in the back that allows rear passengers to stream shows and movies (Netflix, Disney, etc) and play games using standard Bluetooth controllers and headphones upgraded cellular connectivity and in-vehicle Internet (LTE to 5G) upgraded 17-speaker sound system redesigned interior lighting and lots of other minor tweaks |
You’re supposed to keep a backup key card in your wallet in case this happens. She didn’t know what she was doing. |
That's not a car issue, that's a driver issue. |
It's an issue about getting used to a weird system. If Musk had designed it normally instead of trying to be cute, there wouldn't be an issue. |
+1 |
Things change. The first cars to have battery powered fobs instead of keys were also “weird” but we adjusted and they became the new normal. The first cars to have power windows were “weird” because you couldn’t roll down the windows without the car being on, but we adjusted and they became the new normal. You are definitely on your way to becoming grandma who has “12:00” flashing on the vcr. |
