Egg tasting... |
I inject at night before bed, the first few hours I get nauseous and now I'm asleep for it.
I inject in my thigh. Less side effects than the stomach in my experience. |
I just started a couple of weeks ago. Very minimal side effects on 2.5mg.
So far, my hunger/cravings are down for a few days after the shot but that tapers off by the end of the week. Hoping that extends at higher doses. Lost a few pounds, but my weight normally fluctuates a lot anyway so nothing notable yet. |
I get a bit of nausea the first two days or so. Really hasn't mattered when I take it. Tums or Alka Seltzer easily wipe it out so I have those on hand. As someone said, small meals, limit the grease. Other than these very small inconveniences it's been absolutely amazing so far. I'm right around 1-1.5lbs a week and very steady. Started at 2.5, up to 7.5 now and I am staying there for the moment. |
I had ginger chews that helped a lot with the mild nausea I experienced.
My husband started Moujarno for diabetes last month and he has had no side effects at 5.0. |
Hi, I am the person that started at 5.0 with no impacts or weight loss. I have since leveled up to 7.5 and have had great appetite suppression and minimal side effects. Losing about a pound a week. |
I had great success losing weight with this drug.
I took it midday because I would have side effects by evening and want to sleep. My main ones are headaches, super dry mouth, and some minor joint pain, in addition to the GI stuff - reflux and constipation mainly. Drink TONS of water. Eat protein first. Even if you are not hungry, some protein will give you energy. I found I was really tired in large part because I was not eating enough. I was taking an energy gummy, no idea if it actually helped but it made be feel better. Try to get good sleep. Don't drink. Horrible heartburn and really stalled my weightloss the few times I did (weddings, etc). Best of luck to you OP. |
I’ve only taken one shot. I’m due for another today. I’ve been so sick and nauseous. My stomach is upset all night. I’m afraid to eat much. I’m starting Zofran today. Tips? I’d be grateful for your advice. |
I’m not a living off protein drinks and bars person. But, I definitely found that drinking a protein drink (I like Fairlife because it doesn’t taste chemically) at the first sign of nausea works wonders. Plus, small meals, whole foods, and lean proteins with complex carbs. Also, if you are on Wegovy, Zepbound has been much easier on my GI system— and that seems to be the online consensus and what my bariatrican said. And dose up slowly. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. |
Just be grateful it’s working and take the cue that the nausea is intended to keep you from eating. If your BMI is over 25, you have plenty of fat storage to pull from. You will not starve if you don’t eat much for a few months.
Tell yourself it’s ok to feel slightly sick for a few months. You’ll be down 20-30 lbs before you know it. |
Didn’t have a doctor or pharmacist to ask these questions? |
I was interested in the lived experiences of others. My doctor has no direct experience, nor would I expect the pharmacist to - neither is overweight. I wonder what you were attempting to elicit w/ your comment, or whether you just like to sound judgmental... |
It's tricky - it's like a new drug every time you take it, whether or not you are titrating up. I have been on these meds for about 16 weeks, and I still do not know how my body is going to react to the next shot. Zofran is great and helps with nausea. You will come up with a protocol that works for you. Follow the advice others have posted. Take the shot out of the fridge and let it warm to room temp for a couple of hours. Eat sensibly and take the shot when you are not too heavy and not too light. A Fairlife shake is a good layer for me. I like to take it at night, with plenty of zofran and pepcid AC nearby in case I need it. |
If you want to be thin for life, don’t drink your calories. Don’t drink junk made in a factory. Don’t eat sugar. Have some unsweetened yogurt or milk. Use this opportunity to clean up your diet. Eat Whole Foods in small quantities. Protein and veg. |
I don’t remember asking for your advice and I definitely don’t need advice from someone who is “skinny for life” who reads zepbound threads on a mommy site to get her jollies. Get a life. |
