OP here - I am reassured cause DW seriously looked disappointed and started questioning how much I loved her. As a said the marriage has been rocky so maybe she is looking for more ways to dislike me.

I had surgery last year and was in the hospital for a week. When I came home you should have seen my dogs reaction. I am a guy and I can count the number of times I cried but I cried that day. So I’ll save my dog first.

Same. My friend out it perfectly, if her child were drowning in a flood she would stand on her husband’s shoulders to lift her child up to her’s. Husband agreed.

My kids in terms of help and support. My husband in terms of commitment. My husband is a grown ass man and doesn't need as much help and support as kids do. His view is similar.

Haha we’ve actually talked about this. The rules are the Child (and her stuffed animal). Spouse in on their own.

+1. Like others have said, I'd never forgive my husband if he could've saved the kids but saved me instead.

My DH and I agreed that we will save our children first.

Also, I also tell my DH to abandon me and run away to save his life, if several men accost us. Why? They will certainly kill my DH if he is around. But, as a woman I know that they will rape me but probably keep me alive.
