What? You can’t plow a playground. You’d tear everything up.

So why weren't you out there at the playgrounds with your shovel this weekend?

A small plow came and did about half our blacktop today. The kids were able to go out for a shortened recess. They weren’t allowed to do much, but they did get fresh air! They definitely threw snowballs and got shoes wet.

Same. Our playground was somewhat cleared. Heard they plowed it so I'm sure MCPS is capable of plowing playgrounds without tearing it up. But parents helping out by shoveling is not a bad idea.

You should have clarified you were only referring to the black top area of the playground. Not the grass or mulch.

Private schools find a way for kids to have outdoor recess while public schools continue to operate like prisons
