That wasn't me |
| L.A. local here. Good for her! Just chiming in to share that I've seen her (and chatted with her) at multiple dance events, and she and her family seem lovely and very engaged with their kids. I am also 43, and while I personally may not have the highest energy level, many other do (including my mom, who had me at 43!), and seemingly Jenna, who is very hands-on with both her kids. Cheers to them! |
| Jenna is a dancer and they seem to have more energy. Like JLo. |

This is her 3rd kid. Everly already has a half-brother…and will have another half-brother or half sister. She’s 10 now so it’s a big age gap. |
Ditto. (Also 52) I had issues with menopause except a little weight gain. I’m hanging tough with my 21 and 10 year olds. My 10 year old is joy! |
| ^ had NO issues with menopause. |
Every time I’ve tried to put a photo in a post, it doesn’t work. Just google. |
I was just reading some historical thing talking about someone from the 18th century and their mom gave birth to them at age 46. Clearly no donor eggs! As someone who has done a lot of historical research, it's always weird to me when people insist that pregnant women in their 40s must have used someone else's eggs. Two women in my family had oops babies in their 40s -- I got my tubes tied at 39! |
FYI, that was the age gap between my sister and me. We have been very close as adults - now 64 and 75!! |
Agreed it’s totally possible for a 43 year-old to get pregnant naturally just like both my grandmothers did. That said I also think a lot of celebrities have the finances to freeze embryos. Amy Schumer was honest after she had her first child and knew with everything she had experienced in pregnancy she was going to wait a long time before she was interested in having another baby, so she and her husband froze embryos. it’s not an option for everyone but if you are wealthy, it can be. it’s quite possible that they did that a few years ago after she had her first baby with him. |

It could be donor egg, it could be frozen eggs, it could be PIV sex that happened 2 months ago.
DCUM posters alway argue that geriatric pregnancies must be spontaneous at age 43, 45, 48 (because the poster's grandmother or aunt or best friend conceived naturally this way at 50+) but the reality is that thousands of donor eggs cycles happen each year and tens of thousands of women freeze their eggs. Point being, we have NO way of knowing. EVER. Even sisters, mothers, best friends don't know. No one knows how a baby was conceived unless they were in the bedroom or exam room when it happened. People can be incredibly private about this stuff and many lie to throw nosey nellies (or moms or sisters) off their back. Signed, an RN who worked for years in a NYC fertility clinic. |
| She won't have any issues as she has money but I have 2 friends who had their kids naturally older 40s and it wasn't crazy hard. I don't know that it's easy but depending on what shape you are in, it's workable. I do think there's a difference between lifestyle - my one friend has 1 and works. My other friend has 2 and doesn't. Anymore than 1 and you need to not work in your late 40s. I have 2 and had my 2nd at age 39 and I work. It sucks. I'm 51 now with the kids in MS and it still sucks! |
