| Things are getting bad |
GGW is the worst, especially considering that they are sucking the teat of DC taxpayers thanks to the $$ that the DC government gives them. |
You should’ve just bought it on the street right outside. |
| I watched the video about the CVS, and the kids stealing and stomping on chips. And then they interviewed a couple of young professionals outside who were like, we don't like the shelves are empty but maybe the problem is the city needs to provide more bodywash to "the poor". We feel so bad for "the poor". They really don't get that this is just anarchy because you can, and has nothing to do with needing bodywash to survive? |
| Another 200 units of subsidized housing is getting built at Fairmont and 14th, I used to live on that block and it was bad enough 10 years ago. I also just heard the CVS in CH is closing i a month. The city council and mayor should stop spending money to subsidize housing and more on crime control. |
| How are the poor going to get their body wash if the CVS is closed? What do those educated young professionas think now? |
| Sad to hear about the CVS closing. Businesses in that area are not supported or protected. |
| What's the problem? Isn't this the bright, vibrant culture progressives wanted? |
We have a major housing crisis in this city and you are complaining about subsidized housing? |
| Most of yall seem really judgy. And kinda racist like a MAGA. |
This is spot on. We moved from CH 8 years ago, and I was really sad about it at the time. In retrospect, one of the best decisions we ever made. |
Yes. And there is no major housing crisis. There is plenty of housing -just not in the places where everyone believes that they are entitled to live. |
There have been a lot of shootings on that playground and Fairmont was notorious for muggings. People think any of this is new? Do your due diligence. |
| And yet the answer is to put MORE low income housing in that neighborhood. |
What does it say about you that you find something racist in being anti-theft? |
