Nothing, I give directly to the teachers, not all because unfortunately not all my kids teachers are spectacular. Some of them suck and they deserve a big nothing.

Even that's too much because MCCPTA lobbies for things that most parents don't want like bussing and forcing religious kids to read lgbt books.

Even that's too much because MCCPTA lobbies for things that most parents don't want like bussing and forcing religious kids to read lgbt books.

They do very little in terms of lobbying and advocacy when you look at the overall picture. They also do very little for individual schools and programs. It's not just $4 to them, but state and the National PTA organization. You are better off doing a donation vs. dues so they can keep the entire amount but I prefer to do directly for the school or something specific due to the lack of transparency.

I give $500 per kid so it was $1000 this year. I’m happy to support the PTA because they plan such great activities for the kids and families. My kids used to attend private school so I’m used to donating a lot more.
