I know I'm in the distinct minority, but I don't think Meryl Streep is a good actor. I don't like her fake accents. Her acting is wooden. |
Sure, the entire cast of the Sharknado franchise could be listed here but I thought we were sticking to A-list, maybe B-list, actors and actresses, some of whom have been nominated or awarded for acting. Kristen Stewart is the worst of the worst. How is she still being hired? |
Not Kevin Spacey. He’s such a ham. You can ALWAYS tell he’s acting! |
Wow, I wildly disagree with Emily Blunt on that list. I think she's outstanding and hilarious. To the bad acting list, I would add Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba, Keanu Reeves (but I love him), Gwyneth Paltrow, Madonna, Lindsay Lohan, Katie Holmes, Ryan Phillipe, etc. |
Hayden Christiansen is so hard to watch. It makes sense he isn’t really acting anymore. He’s terrible at it! |
I actually think that was 90% the fault of George Lucas. Because Natalie Portman is a good actress IMO but her Padme was horrible. Even a good chunk of Ewan McGregor’s scenes were weird. I think they all gave what George asked for. |
Keanu Reeves. Luckiest guy in Hollywood. An A list actor beloved by the industry who cannot act. His best “acting” was in Bill & Ted films. In his other films he just speaks solely with a flat affectation…which is pretty much how he talks in real life.
Julia Roberts is another one who appears to be herself onscreen. A lot of overexposed A list actresses are the same. Think: Jen Aniston. |
+1. Especially agree about Julia and Jen. |
Kevin Costner |
Yes about Julia Roberts, she doesn't have much range. |
Natalie Portman |
Blake Lively |
I’m not sure how you can say Ben Affleck can’t act and fail to mention JLO. She is a terrible actor. Ben, is good about 50% of the time and has an Oscar to prove it. |
Lopez was amazing in Out of Sight. |
I'd pull Ben Affleck and Emily Blunt out of the "can't act" category.
Hayden C. is probably the most famous example. TV is smaller stakes, but I think Jenna Fisher from The Office started out OK but was terrible by the end. |
