that is exactly what is described. she used footage of her class in her posts.

“ The second post was a video on TikTok by Robinson that discussed having art class outside in the school courtyard. MoCo360 viewed the TikTok, which had text over the video that read, “Art class outside and I have a heavy heart. Praying for justice so there might be peace” and a small graphic of a fist with the Palestinian flag overlayed.

In the video, Robinson says, “Made it to Friday and I’m grateful for that because there are a lot of people in the world who didn’t. … It’s been a hell of a week.” The video briefly pans to show her students working on their sketch assignments.“

It’s truly a witch hunt at this point to silence anyone who criticizes the death and destruction going on in Gaza at the hands of the Israeli military and in the name of the Israeli government.

Unfortunately it’s unsafe to speak up against Israel’s actions because of this type of crusade.

You can speak up but a) you can’t call for the destruction of Israel/support massacres of Jews and b) use images of your students in you social media, especially when accompanied by political statements repugnant to at least some of those students.

But it's ok to support the destruction of Palestinians? Then how about suspending all the MCPS teachers who actively support Israel by posting pro-Israel messages on social media, participate in fund-raising for Israeli causes, attend synagogues that hang the Israeli flag and that post signs "I stand with Israel?"

1) no one wants the destruction of Palestians. No one. Some want the destruction of Hamas.
2) did you seriously just suggest it is appropriate to suspend MCPS teachers who attend their local place of worship that happens to fly a flag? Would it be appropriate for MCPS to suspend MCPS teachers who attend churches that happen to fly Ukrainian flags? Are actual Israeli teachers allowed to say they stand with Israel?

Turn everything you said around and switch Palestine for Israel, and ask if it’s fair? Because that’s how MCPS is treating criticism of Israel.

Both of your points are completely disingenuous. I'm going to assume that you are coming from a good place but that you live in a bubble where it's assumed that Israel can do no wrong. But please know that if an MCPS teacher were to attend a mosque that flies a Palestianian flag, or show up at school wearing a keffiyah, or if she were to have a sign in her yard that says "Justice for Palestinians" I bet you she'd be publicly shamed and suspended. Do you know how many people in the US have been forced to resign, had their exhibitions and awards canceled, and otherwise suffered grave professional repercussions for criticizing Israel? Not just since Oct. 7 but for decades?

+1000. THIS. Pay attention people. This is persecution and it’s ironic that it’s not being recognized by the very people who have been persecuted for centuries.

You CAN’T turn it around. Know why? Because nobody in DC are calling for the destruction of Palestine or Palestinians. The pro-Palestine posts this teacher makes expressly calls for the destruction of Israel and uses a phrase that by now is well-known to call for death to Jews.

So the Jews should sit back and be copasetic with calls to destroy Israel and kill all the Jews in it? Ok.

Read it again and tell me where she said anything antisemitic in that post?

No it doesn’t and she doesn’t. The only people who claim that phrase means what you say it means are Israeli supporters. Palestinians have made it clear repeatedly and over decades its about freedom.

The post where she included footage of her students along with a pro-Palestine message was wildly inappropriate, violated the social media policy, and calls into question her ability to teach Jewish students.

The post calling for the destruction of Israel is anti-semitic/nationality discrimination.

No such claims. None. But no, Israeli isn’t sitting back it’s conducting genocide against the Palestinian people. Are you ok with that?

So instead of listening to what people say you are ascribing your own political motives? That sounds rather Trumpian.

Here her post, whis is an actual call for genocide, supporting the group that actually had genocide in its official charter:

“ The world is watching. Palestine will be free,” and, “Colonized peoples across the world stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people against Israel’s settler colonial state-sanctioned apartheid program of genocide back by U.S. imperialism. From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free. Decolonization is not a metaphor.”

It’s ironic that a rallying cry for freedom is so provocative and dangerous, but actually killing tens of thousands or innocent civilians including more than 10000 children isn’t!
