Choosing to live near grandparents?

I live near both grandparents (in DMV but made conscious choice to leave another city to come back for that reason) - we are very happy with our choice to live close by and the relationship with the grandparents that our kids have is really wonderful. But in your situation I would try to use the summer time and do extended stays instead. It feels like a lot to move now and then a move to another country in three years
