Take AP Physics C and AP History in 11th grade. AP BC Calculus and AP Physics C have a lot of overlap 1st quarter. Combine that with her completion of AP physics 1 this year and she should be able to earn a 5, which is a great score to be able to report in college applications. Having AP History done in 11th grade give her more flexibility senior year to do dual enrollment or have an internship. She can take English, Math, and double period Chem in the morning, and then do something else in the afternoon not at the high school. |
| If a student plans to study a life science field, shouldn't they take AP Chem in 11th? Would taking AP Physics C in 11th and waiting on AP Chem in senior year lean the commitment more towards engineering type of STEM? |
The student isn’t sure what they want to do life science or engineering so it really doesn’t matter. Besides many life science fields require physics. |
