| Took test 12/2 at Visi and haven’t received scores either. |
| Kids at ADW schools are supposed to receive scores 1/26, per our current parish school |
Me too. Same boat. |
Visi was an ADW test site. As noted in several recent posts, ADW scores will be released January 26 by email. You have not received scores because they have not been released. |
I understand this. My question is, but why? If they have the scores, then why not release them earlier? |
It is a reasonable question given how quickly the Arlington diocese kids who took the test at school receive results. I've never seen an explanation for this. |
| DC took the HSPT this weekend at O'Connell after the weather delayed it a week. Information provided was that we should have the scores in the next 2-3 weeks, which would line up with the January 26th comment from an earlier PP. |
So your late ass kid is slowing everything down. Thanks a lot. 😕 |
| I got my sons score and he was exactly 50th percent 😂 |
Plenty of kids tested this past weekend. That was an available testing date (after a one week weather delay). These kids aren’t slowing anything down for others. Chill out! |
Then why didn’t they take it in December like most normal parents had their kids do? Why so late - for extra study time to gain an advantage and force everyone to have to wait months for their score? |
Could you be any more self centered? Our family’s decisions didn’t force anything. In our case, since you asked, November and early December were crammed with school projects and external commitments. The December date didn’t work for us, whereas January 6th did. Besides, we didn’t force you to wait for scores. Arlington Diocese families already have them. |
Oh geez. Good thing my 8th grader in a highly rigorous school had absolutely NO projects or commitments in November and December. She just had two months TOTALLY free to dedicate to the HSPT. if I recall, they even canceled her classes for two months just so she could study! 🙄🙄 Your kid’s situation is SOOO unique. I hope they give him bonus points. Guess I’ll just twiddle my thumbs for an extra few weeks waiting on these scores just ‘cause of your super duper special out of the ordinary busy kid. |
Jeez, hope your day gets better. Again, the diocese offered two testing dates and it's perfectly appropriate for every family to pick what works for them. Arlington Diocese has released scores to families, so the January date clearly isn't the issue holding them up. Talk to ADW about their policy. And nope, sorry. My DC isn't special, but if we have the option of spreading out the stress, why not do so? There's plenty of times that isn't possible in life, so when it's an option to make everyone's life a bit easier that's a no brainer. So sorry you didn't think to do the same thing. Meanwhile, call your school and complain if that will make you feel better. Or continue anonymously beating up other people on a message board if that's what gets your frustration out. |

Arlington and the ADW set their testing policies and choose to make dates available after Jan 1. That’s their prerogative. ADW doesn’t get test scores to students until late Jan. That’s weird and imo is a disadvantage to those students where some schools application deadlines fall before late Jan. But that’s their prerogative.
Families choosing a Jan date aren’t affecting ADW policy or any other student who took the test in the ADW. All that said, you two should think about why you are applying to Catholic schools and whether your attitudes would be a good fit with the general mission of these schools. Because you’re both ridiculous. |
