I don’t understand this post at all. There’s something fundamentally different about enjoying nature outside and bodypump at a gym. They’re not even remotely similar and it’s not an either or situation. I hike and mountain bike less than 45 minutes from DC, runs along the tow path, and paddle the Potomac. I also like going to yoga class and the gym but for completely different reasons. There’s no reason you can’t enjoy nature and the gym. They’re all fun. |
Title boxing in falls church. There is also urban boxing, bash, etc. boutique type boxing gyms. |
Mix up Orange Theory, running outside, and Peloton. |
Indoor climbing
Sports team? That would be more of an activity. Ice skating if you have an indoor ronni near you. Exercise class It is going to sound strange, but have you tried swimming? It has a “be one with the water” kind of feel similar to nature. But of course the water is a man made chlorine-filled hole. |
I’m not an outdoorsy person but I totally get where OP is coming from. Riding a bike on a trail is a completely different experience than riding a bike in a gym or at home, regardless of how engaging a spin instructor might be. OP, depending on where you live you may have to reserve hikes for the weekend. If you’re in DC Rock Creek Park is hilly Af. Have you tried any sports? Pickle ball, tennis, golf (no cart and carry clubs)? How about swimming? It’s also boring but there’s the excitement of possibly drowning I guess |
