I lost 10 then strayed I er the holidays and gained it back

Genuinely curious, how do you gain 10 lbs in a 2 month period? Especially if you are trying to lose weight or at least maintain? Don’t you weigh yourself at least weekly?

If this seems impossible to you, thank your lucky stars! People’s bodies work differently.

Oh I know how it happens. You are very strict with what you eat and have success. One time you eat a little off track and then it’s down the slippery slope you go. It’s very common. You do sound so high and mighty.

But wouldn’t you right the track when you notice you are up 3 lbs, then 5..

You have to over eat by a ton every day to gain 10 lbs in a couple months. C’mon. You don’t gain that from a few intermittent days spread out of rich foods. At this point it is a mental health issue

What are you even doing on this thread?

I gained 3lbs in 2 weeks over the holidays. This was not a “ton” of over-eating - it was a few festive meals plus cookies and more alcohol and desserts than usual. I was not getting McDonalds every day. My body just hangs on to calories.

I did not say I gained it over a few days of over eating. We hosted a big crowd for the whole Thanksgiving week and had lots of leftovers. 3 kids came home from college a few weeks later so we started eating bigger meals and more desserts. Office parties Family holidays New Years. I was not sticking to WW at all. Here I am on 1/8 back where started 10/1.

Thank you for the helpful comments. I think I decided to drop it. I can always go back. I know the drill.
