Help me lose this 20lbs of baby weight for good

Anonymous
As long as I was tracking calories I could still drink, it just had to fit into my budget. The 8 months I spent losing 40lbs of baby weight I just drank white claws so I could keep an accurate calorie count.

But you shouldn’t drink do. That’s probably not helping your sleep either.

The odds are unfortunately not stacked in your favor if you still have the "baby weight" 4 years later. I would simply focus hard on your diet (cut out all processed foods/alcohol/all meat but chicken/no cheese or butter/breads) and walk at least 3 miles a day and see if that helps. You will have to work HARD to drop and keep them off at this point. However, I definitely would because once you hit meno you'll gain another 20.

This is so rude. She has a 1 year old, no need to put baby weight in quotes.

OP here - I hope you are a man. Just came back to update everyone that with a renewed commitment to a Whole30 (paleo, low carb) way of eating, only having black coffee for breakfast, and upping strength to 5x/week, I am down a solid 4lbs this month so far with one week to go! Woohoo!

OP here - I just came back to say I've lost 10lbs since January! If you are out there in the same boat and wondering, it can be done. Not easy, no shortcuts and still have some to go, but just putting this update out into the void to keep myself accountable.

This.

And it's so easy to say and so hard to do.

Good work OP. The real secret is truly just consistency, as I’m sure you’ve food. Move more, eat less. Do that for many weeks.

People over complicate weight loss, but the mechanics are quite simple. The (very) difficult part is staying consistent and sticking with it, because feeling hungry sucks and exercising is often boring.

You should be proud of your effort! Parenting is so much better when you are healthy and have energy to play with the kids.

Sadly this (plus poor sleep) until kids are closer to two keep me pretty chubby. I personally ONLY lose weight after I stop breastfeeding - and sleep through the night.

Take it easy on yourself OP, you’re already managing so much. One suggestion I do have is cutting out gluten and added sugar. I’ve done this and lost some weight pretty quickly, no other changes made!

That’s awesome!

Congrats on the weight loss! I too lost 10 pounds through calorie tracking (1200 per day) and exercise. Unfortunately, I hit a plateau at 145 (I’m 5 ft 1 in)so started taking compounded ozempic. So far I’ve lost another 8 pounds and am in my second month. That’s always an option if you get stuck and/or can’t deal with constantly feeling hungry. Good luck on your journey!

Congrats OP! I love coming across this thread and seeing your updates. I am also trying to lose my baby weight and am finally seeing progress after weaning. It is so encouraging to see others on the same path.

Forget steps and focus on strength/core training.
