Oh wow, did not know that. I don't know much about him.

It wasn't long ago that he was full in on sales in renewable energy and that company appears to have gone under for pretty poor business practices (investigated by local news)

I think some people did get money back but if you dig deep enough, there were some pretty shady business practices. I wouldn't be naive thinking that he's all of a sudden turned a corner and just thinking that he can come up with some better way to run a youth soccer club when previously never really been heavily involved in it.

All true. Here's a story that the NBC affiliate in DC did about him:

The guy doesn't know the first thing about coaching soccer. That video gives you an good idea of what kind of person he really is and that only scratches the surface.

Love the idea of academics, life skills, and soccer. Great faculty of teachers and coaches. Not sure how the kids get to school because they wouldn't have support from LCPS buses. They wouldn't have a shuttle bus or someone on staff driving it to pick up kids. So then the only option is to drive yourself or carpool or your parent drives you. Obviously it is not a residency academy where kids live close by or are on the premise.

I don't know what talent they're looking to take on. I don't understand the correlation between VA Revolution RSA and college/pros. I can understand VA Revolution RSA to VA Revolution pro, which is their UPSL team. I'd hate for them to set the bar at a college level only. I'd love for them to set the bar at helping kids get to academies overseas or trying to get into MLS next (as examples).

Great idea. It's gonna be a scary first beginning maybe. Generally concerned about this becoming well established. I don't know.

Who knows more? Who's a parent on here and going to try this?

You wouldn't believe some of the stories I've heard from parents who previously had kids play for him.

And it only took a reporter showing up at his door to get it done! What a great guy!

This is a weird comment to make considering Revolution teams are still 3rd/4th tier Loudon teams.

This almost made me spit my coffee out! If you know MR or anybody on the LS board, you’d know how ridiculous of a statement that really is. 🤣🤣🤣

I am shocked that a POS dirtbag that steals money from homeowners is running a youth soccer club...WOW how long before he steals money from the soccer club to pay back his solar panel customers?
