| Because Nissan doesn't bother trying to produce good cars. Their business plan is to sell mediocre cars to people with terrible credit or negative equity in their current car. There is a joke about the Altima's best selling price being the amount of storage space for negative equity. |

Most people driving on 395/495 will see an unusual number of insane maneuvers by Altima drivers (triple lane changes, suddenly crossing two lanes to exit @ 100 mph, etc). You just usually forget because of the lime green Charger that keeps tailgating you. Also, when you get in a car accident with an Altima the driver typically has paper license plates, no drivers license, and zero insurance. |

Maybe people just do not like Nissans in general…?
Nissans used to be up there with Hondas + Toyotas for their product reliability, etc. but I think over time their solid reputation has waned (possibly w/their transmission issues.) |

I have owned a lot of cars, but never a Nissan. In fact, when I car shop, I never even look at Nissans. I guess we are a Toyota, Honda, and Subaru family. Those brands have served us well- Toyotas being the best of the bunch.
As for Altimas, I have seen the memes, but didn’t really get it. I don’t think Altimas are bad looking cars. |

This EXACT scenario happened to our daughter. She got t-boned at an intersection by an Altima driver who ran a red light that had been red for like 40 seconds. Altima. Check. Suspended license. Check. Paper tags. Check. No insurance. Check. The type of people who drive on suspended licenses with fake paper tags and have no insurance, are drawn to Altimas. |

Me too! Had the Nissan Sentra then the Altima. Nissans are fantastic. Only turned it in because I had kids and needed an SUV. I miss that car! We spent a lot of time (SAFELY) on the beltway! I always used my directionals, licensed and insured with a real plate! Mine was silver. |
