It's an Amazon/Warner Bros production.Not A24.

A24 as a vibe, not the literal production company

DP

Ok, even by that logic - no. It’s too mass appeal for A24.

I thought the plot itself was predictable, but they coupled it with shocking visuals I wasn’t expecting — period blood, bathwater, and the grave. But shocking visuals don’t make a great movie, so for me, it was just ok.

You know he was fed up with them all.

I believe the penile “prosthetic artist “was given a credit at the end.

I really liked it. Not perfect by far, but at least it’s provocative, beautifully filmed, and keeps you guessing. The frontal nudity is not that interesting — but is necessary to the shocker final scene. The karaoke scene is priceless.

Loved it!

Anyone see Poor Things with Emma Stone? This is also a very provocative film. If you didn’t appreciate Saltburn you won’t like this either, I’m sure.

I like the director but dislike Emma Stone. I hope she doesn't get an Oscar for this one.

So, the actors needed help to make their junk look bigger? Weird.

Got 15 min seemed stupid and pointless.

I watched the whole thing. It was.

The people who are saying it is good have no idea that they are looking at style with no substance; they don't know what substance is.

I haven't gotten far, but mostly because Oliver is so hard to look at and his personality is the worst. He is constantly sweating on top of everything!

If this is a comp for Ripley, Matt Damon is a good looking guy, personable as Ripley, and it was easy to buy into the concept that people would fall under his "spell", as it were. Oliver, on the other hand, is so hard to look at and so cringey in his personality that I find it hard to believe Felix would be friends with him. All because Oliver loaned him his bike? Wha???

I will try again, but man, this is slow going.

It comes together at the end, trust me.

TOTALLY! No way those folks let Oliver in like that! From what I know of families like this, the true inner workings of their world (and access to their wealth) is air tight.
