Anyone else bothered by this trend in every viral Instagram and TikTok food video?

So post a recipe here! I like mine pre-digested and one step removed from tiktok (pun intended)

I hate how they seemingly finger everything, as well as put things in containers that are too small and attempt to stir it all — or not stir anything at all (I HATE when they lay pats of butter over cake mix, as though it’s going to miraculously mix in the oven.)

You're planning your holiday recipes based off of TikTok?

I never look at tik tok or instagram for recipes. Why would I?

I have a bad experience with getting recipes off the internet as most aren't properly tested as a real cookbook. The only recipes I will try out from the internet are from established chefs or proven food bloggers like Smitten Kitchen and usually reprints from their cookbooks.

It's all the stupid repetition and forced shilling of products. Something might look cute or funny once, but when I see it for the 20th time, it's just so silly.

Oh well. Thank goodness there are thousands of other places to find recipes and food content.

I just hate how excited and animated they feel they need to be.

It's an ASMR thing.

Same. Hate it.

LOL! Why are they so bored sounding on TikTok? Also why POV? It’s NOT a point of view. It’s context.

ASMR lady doesn’t know what ASMR is

Dump cakes weren’t invented in the TikTok era. I’ve been making them for 30 years. It doesn’t mix in the oven but it’s not supposed to.
