Anyone else bothered by this trend in every viral Instagram and TikTok food video?

Planning recipes for this weekend. Why does every foodie woman do that wavy thing with their fingers through every video? Hot pan *wavy fingers*. Add this item *wavy fingers*. The plate is so pretty, right? *wavy fingers*. I don't even know if I'm describing it correctly but it drives me insane. And also right up there, why do they all pretend to "hit" the camera when they cut to something else? Both have invaded every viral food video. It is not only annoying, it looks so juvenile. Like something tween girls would do.

If you look at Tik Tok then you deserve what you see.

Is it the wavy nail taps? That's for the ASMR hits

No, they don't tap anything. They just wave it at and over everything throughout videos. It is ridiculous.

I don't know what you're talking about

Haven’t noticed that one yet. But HATE the little rotating shake they have to give everything they touched. I can’t watch any video that does that. Why can’t they just hold it up without doing the shake? I’m obviously looking at the object already.

Every womens video of every topic ..
(Monotone voice) I'm a busy mom and this is my quick curly routine (rotates gel bottle, taps it) this is becoming ny favorite part of my morning. Just apply a generous amount ( squeezes into hand, wiggles fingers) brush through and diffuse (hits camera) Amazing.

Wiggles! Much better verb. Wiggling their fingers like they're 12 years old. It is awful.

YES. I don't watch TikTok, but my teen daughter makes the most side-splitting imitations of the behaviors she finds most annoying, so I get a show every few weeks. There's hair-flipping, and finger-waving, and hip-posing, and all those weird head tilts. Plus she does the funniest teen girl up-speak drawl. Cracks me up!

Sorry haters, you are missing out. There is great food content on tik tok. IDK what the OP is talking about with the fingers...
