I don't see the difference between giving OP's DD a phone now as a seventh grader vs as an eighth grader. |
| My daughter has an SE and was just happy to have a phone. She doesn't care about the size. |
| I have one and love it. Mine was happy with our old iPhone 5 or 6 but we upgraded them to an se and they were thrilled. |
| My 5th grader has an IPhone SE and I’d better not hear any complaining. Good grief. |
| Above sorry, 6th grader. |
| I have the 12 mini and love it to pieces. I am so sad that they don't make this size anymore. |
Word. |
| My son (14) has the 13 mini. My daughter (12) recently got the 13 full size. He was a little envious of her larger screen but he also thinks the mini is good for him as far as fitting in his pocket. |
Ignore them. |
| lol. Just bought my eighth grader a 12 mini. I don’t expect to hear anything except “wow, thanks mom!” |
|
I have never heard of the 11 or SE called the mini.
We tried to give them to our kids but the planned obsolescence means that the batteries last two seconds because Apple forces the latest OS which kills older phones. How are y'all getting these older phones to function?!!? |
It’s only the 13 that is called the mini. They don’t make them anymore and you have to buy them refurbished online. |
| My 12yo boy was thrilled to get his iPhone Mini. It makes more sense to me from both a financial and a physical size perspective. He’s never mentioned wishing he had a different version |
Unless this is a very new change, this is not true. We bought a brand new 13 mini from Apple directly just a few months ago. |
