The cost of fertility drugs at MD IPA has increased from what the previous posters mentioned in 2010. This is because some of the drug tiers have changed. Here is what I paid just a week or two ago. The overall cost of the drugs depends on your protocol and how much medication you need so I’ll put a disclaimer that this is how much I spent but I’m on low doses of medicine (higher doses have the potential to be much more)
Gonal f 900iu Pen-$30 copay per pen Menopur -$100 copay for fifteen 75iu vials. Ganerlix (for the antagonist protocol…which is really popular at SG) -$60 copay Endometrin (non-injectable but expensive) - $60 copay HCG-not sure but maybe $30 Lupron: I didn’t do the long protocol so I’m not sure about lupron So meds are definitely not $150 copay anymore, even on low dose meds. Everything else (estrogen, antibiotics, bcps) were just a $7 copay for the generics. |
| Once MDIPA had all the info from my RE's Office, I was approved within 2 days. It took them an extra day or 2 to upload the info into MEDCO, so that I could order my meds through Freedom Feritility. I was on Lupron, Follistim (900), Prometrium, and Novarel for a total cost of $197. |
Even if they aren't 150.00 any more they are much better priced than the 5K for Aetna! |

I'm the 10:56 poster. Just got the drugs from freedom. Here's all the drugs and our copay for mdipafed
(from medco mail order) Nortel - $7 Azithromycin - $7 Estradiol - $14 PIO - $7 (from freedom) Gonal-F - $30 Ganirlex - $60 Menopur - $100 Gonad - $60 Total is $285--more than the $150 that I've seen quoted by other posters, but still much cheaper than paying out of pocket! |
