Yes, sell and get an older Corolla or Camry. They are very hard to steal. I had these when I lived in a high crime area. Many tried to steal them but none succeeded.
If it’s older, it won’t upset you as much when you see marks from attempts to break in all over the tires and doors. |
Also, this. Amazon. |

Get a protective cover installed over your catalytic converter. It needs to be welded on, so you get this done at a body shop.
Use a Club on your steering wheel. Don't keep ANYTHING in sight in your car. No bags, cords, clothes, etc. Even keeping a few quarters in loose change in your cup holder will inspire a homeless dude to break your window and steal the loose change. |

| The reason that Hondas are stolen so often bc they are so popular, NOT bc they are being targeted. |
It's based on actual cash value, you cannot increase it. |

They want it they will take it.
My Jeep Wrangler I parked in an area where cars were stolen a lot. I had the following 1) Club 2) Hidden Kill Switch 3) key hood lock so can open hood without key 4) I was blocked in my another car. 5) Benz Box 6) Wheel lug locks They just towed car behind me out of way and then towed my car. I noticed it quickly as heard beeping as they left car they towed out of way blocking street |
I had an agreed upon value policy one car. It costs more |
| Putting keys and toll passes in a Faraday box when you are not driving is very important with any street parking, not just NE or SE. |
| If it gets stolen you will get retail price for it. |
Agreed. Had a friend whose car was broken into for an umbrella (Dupont Circle, side window smashed, umbrella taken). Neighbor had loose change taken (outside DMV). |
