Maybe put out some veggie sticks and hummus and ranch for people to eat while while you're getting everything together? I probably would not make the varied latkes because that seems like a lot of extra work, unless you're going to pre-make them and then just warm them back up. But if I went to a party that had them, I would enjoy it!

It's not extra work really. I mean it's extra work to prep, but when you're actually cooking it's equally fast.

We don't have a whole party, just another family joining ours.

Would not eat the yogurt at night, although fruit sounds nice. Would add a vegetable savory thing, like a frittata or a spinach pie
