Are you Heather ? Or her friend ?

Heather has been in practice for decades and owns one of the largest family law firms in the area so I doubt she's self promoting on DCUM lol! That said, PP at their firm Nathan does a lot of litigation and handled my friend's messy case when her ex tried to get away with international child kidnapping.

A lawyer self promoting: well I never! You are saying a lot for a rando who just had a consultation with Heather

stir the pot with your wild kidnapping story, lawyer-troll.

Why don’t you say what country this evil kidnapper is from? I bet it’s not a northern country.

A country or region will add to your dramatic description —and readers can draw their own assumptions about skin color, etc.

Also, I’m the PP who went with Jim Cottrell and I didn’t make the last post about heather cooper? So someone else likes her? And i think she’s looking for less work, not more, so she’s hardly here trolling on DCUM. I actually did just do a 1 hour consult and like her. She was super blunt with me which i appreciated.

Proxies can troll. It doesn’t have to be the principal.

Jim Cottrell

Good choice if you want to litigate.

I’m a lawyer (not family law) and I refer to Heather Cooper and Julie Gerock (Maddox and Gerock). Both of their firms are excellent.

Divorce Lawyers who appeal don’t settle or can’t negotiate in an efficient way

pasted:

John K. Cottrell
Mr. Cottrell has regularly argued cases in the Court of Appeals of Virginia, written numerous appellate briefs and recently had the privilege of arguing before ...

If he is spending all his time in court he is not spending a lick of time on interest negotiating. There are a bunch of lawyers like that . they make cash. You get old and bitter. You kids childhood spent watching you be distracted

Do you think it’s fun for a child or teen to watch their parents battle in litigation? No matter how good you are at compartmentalizing it seeps out.

Do you think a Jim or a Camille care? They don’t.

Jim Cottrell is an excellent litigator and attorney. Truly one of the best. That said, he’s ridiculously aggressive and will take, and wants to take, cases to trial. His fees are really high but most of his clients have the money to pay and want to go court.

Checking out how may times the lawyer is in court is a good strategy. You can check the friday Motions calendar in NoVa, which is public. Or google your lawyer with “Virginia of Appeals” . This will tell you if the person likes to litigate. Litigators love to fight and litigate. That is what they do. Even to negotiate… they litigate. They don’t care if their gains outpace their bill to you. They are risk junkies. Don’t let them gamble with your money.

How do you check the Friday motions calendar in NoVa? Is this something that is online?

He's from the US and tried to move the child to Korea for a US government job there with zero notice. Same guy years later lead Fairfax County police on a manhunt via GPS tracking on his car because he was suicidal. He's a real winner.
