Arlington subdivided narrow house endless for sale

I like it!

I don't mind the front of the house, but the back looks awful and unstable. If this were on a flat lot on a quiet road, I don't think the size of the lot would be an issue, and they'd probably get their asking price. But I think this will need to come down to $1.8.

It's never good when the first shot isn't an exterior of the home.

I live near this house and I hate this damn thing. Drive by it every day. I cannot believe this stupid, overpriced house was built, with obvious plans for another one next to it. Obviously that has stalled because the builder can't sell the the first one. Miglani Homes? Never heard of this dumb builder. I feel sorry for the people living on either side of the eyesore house and empty lot.

Another split lot with two giant houses shoved onto it. One apparently has sold and I assume the other will as well but it looks ridiculous driving by.

It’s a subdivided lot, the lot is only 6000 sq ft, and is a crazy narrow house, about the width of a modern townhouse.

It’s on a busy double line arterial road, and down hill from two gas stations 300 ft away or so.

It is a nice neighborhood, with good elementary and middle schools, right across from library (though is that good these days with homeless traffic?) and Cherrydale shopping.

What is their endgame? Will this eyesore ever become someone’s home?

I hope it’s a warning to missing middle developers to not overextend

I assume on other topics, you call out "wokeness."

Military is way too busy for that house at that price point. Add in the re-envisioning of Langston and the price should drop even more.

I can't tell how nice the finishes are to comment on the price, but the busy road, tiny lot and certainty of very close neighbors should bring that down a bit.

On the flip side, it's appealing to have that space and NOT share walls like in a TH.

So I guess I don't object to the building and what the developers did, but do think some of those decisions need to impact price.

That is NOT 6000 sq ft. The ORIGINAL lot was 6000, but they subdivided but Redfin didn’t get the update.

It’s a 3000 sq ft lot on a busy road.

For $2M dollars.

This is a very important point. I'm just a casual real estate observer, but from what I have seen in Arlington, it is VERY hard to sell a home at any price point on a 3000SF lot. That is TINY. As you can see from the photos, almost the entire front yard is a parking pad.

At $1.85 it would sell.

Before even clicking on the link, I knew it was this house. It is such a strange looking place. I don't think the location or the gas stations have anything to do with it - it is just a weird looking house and way overpriced. As for Cherrydale library, it's a great place and yes, occasionally I see a homeless person using the computers, but it's certainly not dangerous or offputting.

Right. Here's a similar priced house, on about a 6000 sq. ft lot that is much nicer.
