You are far more likely to get car-jacked on route or robbed at gunpoint, sitting at stop signs and lights on your way to Georgetown and/or getting out of your car to go to a store in DC than you are to have the same happen in Wheaton. An extended family member is a prosecutor in Montgomery County - based on crime data, she told me never to go to the Wheaten Costco/Dick's complex again.
