You're talking boys vs girls? I don't think there was any conflict.

Shows how much people know on this board when they can't figure out that one is for boys and the other was for girls.

It rained. What do you expect them to do?

They had the forecast in advance plus the same thing happened last year. For the money they are making, I expect them to do a whole lot more than they did. Cover the grass fields ahead of games so that they are playable on game day for example. Arrange for all games to be played on turf; invest in turf if they want to keep hosting it. They had 12 months to figure this out. Having kids and coaches travel there from around the country, spending a lot of money on "mandatory" hotels from which the tournament makes more money, then shortening games to 50 min when the whole point of this showcase is for as many players to be seen by coaches as possible was not the answer and players should absolutely be expecting better. How about relocating this showcase? December in TN is not a good plan, unless the club hosting it wants to invest some money to make it worthwile.

ECNL won't make that investment. Need to keep the funds for their 'management and marketing budget'.

Serious soccer players aren’t worried about going to a kids tournament OR college coaches.

What are you talking about? This isn't a tournament. It's a showcase for college coaches to recruit players. There were over 200 colleges represented and clubs from all over the country.

What was the PP talking about? MLS Next Fest, etc. Don’t respond if you can’t follow.

Also a big fail on the livestream, or video replays being posted within 24 hours of the game ending. Still waiting on the first video to appear for any of my daughters 3 50-minute games.

This is seemingly the only real purpose of ECNL National HQ - to set up and run these showcases, smoothly and effectively. The week to week League play is handled by the clubs. They are not delivering.

Which event was handled worse? The GA playoffs in New Jersey or the ECNL showcase in Tennessee?

Many teams managed to get at-least 1 match in the indoor Bubble which is where a lot of coaches were located due to the weather. In that 1 game they were likely playing in-front of 70-100 schools. The situation is not ideal but a showcase is about exposure and if you got a game indoors it’s not all bad

Now you lost me. What are you talking about? 99% of female soccer players want to play in college. The showcase is a key part in that.

There were about 100 coaches in DD's game inside.

The previous PP mentioned MLS Next, so that reply had nothing to do with female soccer.
