That's good to know. We may wind up there since neither of us have been, and going south instead of north is certainly appealing from a weather perspective.

I wasn't the biggest fan of Montreal, though would go back to Quebec City, but it adds a time/expense factor... something to consider though.

Portland ME in early Spring sounds awful to me.

Maybe Savannah? It depends on what you like to do and the budget I guess.

If the budget allows it go to Canyon Ranch in Arizona. It’s not that much more flight time and it’s fun and relaxing.

Already been to Savannah. Reading is fundamental.

Just a note that 20:48 was not OP. I appreciate the suggestions regardless!

I love the Northeast May through October (and Christmas/New Year's) but I would pass on Boston, Portland until at least mid-spring

Providence/Newport in RI are fun, and it gets warm a little earlier there than in Montreal or Portland.

Can you share why?

Newport is more upscale with lots of shopping and restaurants. Portland reminds me more of a mini Baltimore. A little gritty but I loved it! Not sure older people would, though.

Sorry.
Didn't mean to imply that I was. But I did read OP's original post.
