Is MCPS biased

Because the posts were antisemitic. Defending and justifying Hamas’s senseless and brutal killing of nearly 1500 civilians is despicable and cannot be excused or tolerated. If anything, MCPS’s reaction to the Israel-Hamas conflict has been too careful by “not trying to take sides” since silly woke politics dominate the McPS mindset. But anyone with a moral compass can and should speak out against cold-blooded murder - and the fact that you think it’s okay to try to excuse cold-blooded murder means you’re either projecting (trying to explain the horrific behavior because it must be justified) or just that you’re antisemitic. Either one isn’t okay.

But you can go back and say the whole conflict began with the theft of land to create Israel in the first place. The state is known to put children in jail without any charges for a renewable term (indefinitely effectively). My point is that choosing either is choosing a side that has done heinous things.

You should learn about history from books and not memes.

Suspending teachers for criticizing Israel and releasing defamatory statements about why is libelous

True, though many books have been white washed, as we know. After all, they all said Columbus was great until recently. The facts are clear though on the conflict. A country was created without a majority of occupants of the land agreeeing to it.

Are you saying that teachers should be suspended if they oppose Hamas, a terrorist organization? That is the position of the U.S. government, aside from the squad.

P.S. I haven't seen the post for which the teacher has been suspended, but I would decide for myself whether it's antisemitic and not judge by your assessment.

No. OP here. I am saying that nobody should be suspended for having an opinion on politics and humanitarianism. You can read what the teacher posted. It was not antisemitic. (I’m Jewish even). It was critical of Israel and of the Israeli war and practices.

i just viewed those posts, which are wildly antisemitic propaganda. I am highly dubious that you are Jewish. And if you are, shanda.

I say this respectfully, as someone with some familiarity...I would urge to to learn more about the history of the region.

Also please read Senator Schumer's speech this week about antisemitism, which is essential reading.

I’m 75%.. it not at all propaganda. I wouldn’t call it in good taste, but it is definitely not anti-Semitic.
