Janeese Lewis George says we can't do that because it would "traumatize" them.

JLG is not even sure crime is wrong.

If it's what she really thinks, then good to know. No taking back.

Don't worry, everybody. Catch-and-release Janeese will make sure these violent criminals aren't traumatized by spending time in prison.

Ouch!!

The best thing she could do is take ownership, say she was wrong, and get serious about crime.

She has a serious challenger who is focused on public safety. That is likely the reason for her shift in rhetoric yesterday. We need more electable people to run, especially in W1 and W6.

Here is the CM's tweet:

It's hilarious how much her tone has changed in the few weeks since Gore entered the race. She's now clearly trying to portray herself as being "tough on crime," though I doubt that's going to fly considering her numerous past statements about how criminals are the true victims. W4 voters aren't idiots, Janeese, they remember what you truly believe.

It is really important to vote out any of the Soft on Crime, Criminal Coddlers if we expect any change. New Councilmembers will know why they were elected and hammer this drum, and at least some of those still on the Council will change their tune or they’re next.

Cannot wait to vote for Gore.

Play stupid games (left liberal policies light on crime), get stupid prizes (more crime).

So Gore, who was similarly aligned in her At - Large bid is allowed to change her opinions completely, but nobody else can?

The Council's Coddling Criminals Caucus needs to go, including JLG and Allen.

Maybe new here. This has been a thing since the 80's in Latin America. It is an express kidnapping.

You get kidnapped and then released once you pay a manageable fine. Typically a few thousand dollars. People get kidnapping insurance just for this type of crime in Latin America.

Now we get to experience it in DC. Well, our kids do.

Kidnapping is a federal crime. Let's have them charge a few of these DC "youthful" offenders as such.

To many leftists crime is justice.
