Agreed. And definitely listen to them because he makes the stories come alive. His Santaland Diaries really are hysterical.

Agree. The most laughing I’ve ever done with a book was early David Sedaris. Though listening to them as audiobooks is even better!

I had tears running down my face from laughing so hard at one of his books, I think it was Me Talk Pretty One Day

The Hitler part? I nearly drove off the road while listening to that in the car!

Lindy West and Samantha Irby are both hilarious on audio!

I've mentioned it here before, but the funniest novel I've read is Straight Man, by Richard Russo.

I loved and found Straight Man very funny. I recently tried a Samantha Irby audiobook and found her voice really grating. I switched to reading the book itself and enjoyed it.

Jeeves and Wooster by PG Wodehouse.
I discovered these books when I was a teen. It's still makes me laugh.

“There are moments, Jeeves, when one asks oneself, 'Do trousers matter?'"

Specifically, because I do not find them funny . . . at all. Stand up comics are worse with one or two exceptions.

I find Dave Barry's books to be really hilarious.

I agree! I love his current books as well though.

Also, Colin Jost's book is very funny.

The funniest book I’ve ever read is A Confederacy of Dunces.
