Your obsession is showing again.

Everyone should be concerned about racist policies that treat students differently based on skin color, don't you think? |
|
In the past, there was no real policy. This year we are being told that the 15 day in a row rule will be enforced. I don’t know if it is being enforced because my kid hasn’t missed much school and I don’t know anyone who would know.
Two years ago my child was disenrolled for absenteeism after two weeks - medical related but I did have to reenroll him when he was capable of returning. The key to the policy is “in a row”. No one cares whether your kid is out 100 days because it’s not in a row - not that they don’t care but just not for attendance and enrollment purposes. |
| It’s only “in a row.” And you can just reenroll later, though getting the same HS classes isn’t guaranteed. |
NP. So if I'm pulling my ES kid out for the week before holiday break, I will need a doctor's note? |
No because it will be unexcused for a vacation. The doctors note would mean an excused absence for illness. Most teachers let kids make up the work either way but there are no guarantees. |
