Ozempic and loose creepy arm skin

Anonymous
I'm 63, have lost 35 pounds over the past 11 months, and am also experiencing crepey skin on my arms (and inner thighs). I strength train with a trainer at a gym 2x a week + once a week at home, and I eat around 90 grams of protein a day. I've lost weight very slowly, so rapid weight loss is not a factor for me. Even with all that, my skin is just not bouncing back the way it did when I lost weight in my 20s and 30s. But, to be perfectly objective, my two skinny gfs who have always been skinny also have crepey skin on their arms (don't know about anywhere else) and more face wrinkles than me (probably due to having less fat on their face all these years than I do). I'm thrilled to have lost 35 pounds but am dismayed at the "old lady" skin I've developed.

It’s just being old and losing weight, it’s not to do with the semaglutide.

Doesn’t really matter. You can’t build muscle if you are in a calorie deficit

Fake news. Especially for a newbie that just started lifting. I have lost 24 lbs while all of my lifts have increased weight

You've got it backwards. It's ONLY newbies who can significantly increase their strength/lift weight while in a calorie deficit and therefore inherently losing some amount of lean mass. Increase in lift does not necessarily come from increased muscle mass, particularly for beginners.

Beginner gains don't come from increased muscle mass. They come from quick increase in skill, coordination and increase in control of the muscle which leads to being able to use more of the available muscle fiber. A beginner can significantly increase their lifts and not gain a single ounce of lean mass and even while losing lean mass. That's what's going on with you.

Been on ozempic three months I’m 50 usually look 30 I’m heading toward looking 70 no joke on my face. The wrinkling is on every body part. Like I’m in a frying pan lol. But I guess thin and old looking is better than young and obese

This, and you already ruined your body by being overweight and stretching out your skin , the only solution is skin removal or laser.

Not sure. It works well on my neck and arms though. It's not a fix - just a temporary way to make it look better.
