So you're giving me permission to be "nasty" again to OP on Jan 2nd? Got it, I'll try to sit on my fat little fingers for a few more weeks and then revive this truly STUPID thread so I can chime back in with more "nastiness".

What makes this thread STUPID? Your scorched earth response is very odd.

The DCA Noise Community Working group is meeting with the FAA this Thursday to discuss the changes to flight paths that are coming to Bethesda and Potomac in May 2024. The FAA has been testing these new routes for the last two years. You can watch the meeting online.

As others pointed out you should address any questions to the four community representatives from Montgomery County who have been pushing for these changes for the last few years.

The map on page 16 shows what is coming in May. The red lines are the current flight paths for arriving airplanes and the green lines are the future routes.

Whoa that is pretty substantial on page 16. Is it approved permanently??

Nothing like that is done temporarily. The FAA has been testing these routes for some time now. Contact the community members from Montgomery County with any questions. They made it happen according to all the minutes from discussions. Somebody posted about the meeting that can be watched online tonight.

And what is the issue exactly? It looks like this will alleviate the noise for the most affected communities and bring some to others. I would see it as an improvement overall.
