the new season of Fargo is really good

1st season is excellent. 2nd is worth watching but gets goofy by the end.

3rd season is good. Good cast and characters.

I'm the pp who is struggling to get into the 4th season and will probably give up on it.

I watched season 1 episode 1 last night. It feels really slow moving. Is this part of its charm? Do you get used to it? Right now it just feels boring. What do you like an oh t this show?

I really wanted to like the 4th season but did not like it at all. New season is back to what made Fargo great. Skip the 4th and enjoy the 5th!

it's the coen brothers charm ... things seem slow and simple to begin with, and then eventually it becomes a crescendo of little slip ups piling up for a total chaotic/shocking resolution

I enjoyed Jon Hamm standing up in the hot tub, was waiting for him to turn around, but no. Disappointing.

I'm 3 episodes in and they do not share screen time yet, BUT there is some chemistry between Temple and Winston from New Girl, IMO.

Also episode 3 is very weird and I don't quite understand it, but also found the cliff hanger frustrating.

Big horror movie vibe to this season, more so than prior seasons which had plenty of violence but were less creepy/suspenseful overall. They were more like the original Fargo movie with the weird dissonance that is dramatic and comedic at the same time (Cohen brothers hallmark). This season has that but is also sometimes just straight up horror film trips (well executed).

I'm struggling to stick with this. It's a great story, and Joe Keery and Juno Templo are fantastic. But Jon Hamm is miscast to the point of causing distraction and Jennifer Jason Leigh just keeps getting worse.

I’m three episodes in and loving it so far despite Jennifer Jason Leigh. It seems like she looked at what Jennifer Coolidge has been doing lately and took notes.

Season 1 was okish the rest suck and are too slow moving for me and boring.

I think Hamm is cast well and I think JJL’s character is terribly written. I don’t think it’s her fault.

I’m excited for the finale! Not a perfect season of TV but I’m into it!

I am OP and I LOVE JJL's character this season

It was! This is much darker than I was expecting but I think the women will figure out how to take on sheriff Roy.

So good. Roy talking to Dot while she was chained towards the end especially and her response - It was rough (probably for more personal reasons for me), but engrossing. They had their own kind of chemistry.

I have always enjoyed Fargo. There's just a vibe to it that I really like being engulfed in. Looking forward to next week.
