I think I can make a good guess, because I always serve red cabbage at Christmas ... |

I was the cook and I’d give it a C- definitely not one of my better years. I blame it on the fact that I cooked a turkey breast rather than whole turkey. Barefoot contessa said to roast it at 325, which is lower than I usually cook my turkey. Everything else came out a little underdone. Safe, but the sweet potatoes and apples still had a bit too much bite and the stuffing wasn’t as browned as I like. And I had trouble carving the turkey breast, so while I tasted ok, it wasn’t nice to look at. Guests brought the green bean casserole and it was vile. They aren’t cooks at all, and also can’t follow directions.
Cranberry sauce was its usual delightful self. Pumpkin pie was good. Other dessert was good but didn’t turn out as pretty as I hoped. Good news is no one got sick, and I can fix the undercooking when I make my leftovers. |

| I was not the cook, but it was an A or B+. Flavorful, moist turkey. Awesome stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, apple and pumpkin pies, cranberry cocktails. No green bean casserole. |

I'm interest in which foods people prefer simple and which they want gussied up
Plain: Turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, pumpkin pie Add-ins welcome: Dressing, sweet potatoes, cranberry, pecan pie |
| Publix precooked Turkey. Potatoes & stuffing were great. Gravy was ok. The butterball precooked Turkey was as good as a precooked butterball Turkey could get. The cranberry sauce was awesome. And the star of the meal turned out to be “marshmallow delight” (ambrosia salad), I was super skeptical about it but ended up really enjoying. For the combination of cost and effort I’d rate 5/5. |
