I think they had a bunch of hits in the 70s. They were around for a while. The Police are the same way. The guitar player, Andy Summers, is 80. |

I think it would be great if we, as the DCuM community, could all work together collectively to bring them together and reconcile them.
Everyone in? |
No, what I hope is that Adam Mckay is taking notes for his next moving starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly. It would be bigger than Anchorman! |
I can't go for that. |
No can do. |

Money. It's probably about money.
I wondered if one of them wanted to sell their catalog, like many others have done, and the other didn't. |

Recording is a dirty business. My wife’s good friend had two major hit songs on her first album when only 16. Like major cover of people magazine and two number one hits
She did not write the music or lyrics or play any instruments. She just sang. She only has rights to perform them live. Her songs still play on radio and one was on a movie soundtrack. But she gets zero. Her second album really flopped she had rights to and she lost her record deal. But her mega mega 1984 hit was long before steaming and signed that contract in 1983 at 15. It is funny I saw her at an 1980s show and she was so much younger than everyone else. Not many have two number one hits at 16. Shevwashed up so quick went to college at 18. |
Tiffany? |
That’s who I immediately thought of too. Her or Debbie Gibson. |

Debbie Gibson wrote her songs and played piano. At the time she set a record as the youngest artist to write, produce, and perform a Billboard number-one single.
I also don’t think Tiffany went to college so not sure who PP is referring to… |
