Banned from FB group, don’t know why!

Anonymous
It could be completely random, OP. I manage a page at work, and our entire (academic) FB presence was taken down. The “suspicious activity” flagged was me posting a nice, straightforward web story about a faculty member who won an award.

I tried all the proper channels for months. No one at FB would budge, even though I took them through our college’s website, other social media accounts, publications, and showed them my LinkedIn profile which clearly indicates I am in higher ed communications.

At long last, a faculty member working with Facebook on a survey tool was able to connect me with someone high up in FB who personally saw to it that our page was restored. It is bizarre. A decade at least of work was gone with one post, and if we hadn’t made a connection to someone in FB leadership, we would have had no recourse.

Your situation could be a total—but unfortunate—glitch. You probably did nothing wrong!

I joined another group that was the antithesis of that one that was way more up my alley. When the person who ran the group that I liked saw that I was a member of the other group, I was kicked out. Thought I had to be a spy. I had people vouch for me and assure them I was on their side. But I am now locked out forever, even after leaving the other group.

People are cray.

The dueling open Moco schools groups?

That my thought too. There was a similar dynamic in LCPS where you couldn’t be in both groups.

I was just removed and blocked from a group today. I didn’t break any rules and have no idea why. I can’t find it and I can’t even find it under my husband’s account! It’s like Facebook banned anyone I’m attached to as well. I even tried incognito mode.
I would like to at least get the url for the group so search for it. I can’t contact the admin without being able to see who they are. If anyone wants to help me by searching for the group and giving me the link I would be grateful.

New poster here
I just tried searching for it and can't find it, so it might be that the entire group was just deleted?

I'm not currently, nor have I ever been, part of a group like that so my facebook profile wouldn't even be on "their radar" to block.

Thank you so much for checking

DP- you may have been booted from the group and the group may have been “secret” rather than private. Public and private groups show up in search, secret groups do not.

I manage a FB group of about 25,000 folks. I can tell you, FB will randomly ban people from our group for "suspicious activity" - if it's an issue or topic you care about, message the admin or moderator.

Is anyone able to view the group from this link?

I'm the pp that checked earlier and said I wouldn't be on their radar.

No. It tells me the content is not available to me

Sorry, it just says "not available." It doesn't specify to me.
