Banned from FB group, don’t know why!

Anonymous
I’ve been banned from a FB group that I followed closely, with occasional comments. It has around 3000 members.

I never posted anything controversial or mean spirited! I’ve been completely blocked and couldn’t even see that the group still exists, until I looked for it under DH’s FB account.

I sent a message to the admin requesting to be unblocked, and letting them know I am supportive of the group and would not knowingly post something against the rules.

We aren’t friends on FB, so I’m not sure she will even see my message.

I should probably just let this go, but it seems so arbitrary and I miss reading the posts.

Anyone else with a similar experience, and if so what was the outcome?

Thank you.

That happened to me on a 90 day fiancé page. I slightly insulted one of the cast members (Jason, of Jason and Cassie) who was in the group. The admins looked at him like he was a god. I sent them a PM asking to be let back in, and they agreed if I apologized. No way Jose! I found another group. Then the guy was arrested for assaulting her and ended up dead from Covid in 2021 (purposely unvaccinated).

At the time it did hurt to be banned but those admins think they’re on a pedestal.

While not banned from FB, I was banned from the Juicy Scoop FB group and have no idea why. It happens to the best of us Honestly, Heather McDonald did me a favor because that group is quite toxic.

My Instagram account was deleted for failing to follow community guidelines. I don't ever comment on the posts of others and my pictures were of my pets and one of my new porch furniture. That's it, lol. There was no way to appeal.

Mistakes happen.

I've been temporarily blocked several times from those "resale" groups for not following their crazy specific posting rules that are all different from group to group. I gave up and just donate now.

OP if you instant messaged the admin they will see it. You don’t have to be friends.

It happened to me too. I was in one group because a friend invited me and I realized I hated their philosophy. I unfollowed it but stayed in to keep on occasional eye on what the crazies had to say.

I joined another group that was the antithesis of that one that was way more up my alley. When the person who ran the group that I liked saw that I was a member of the other group, I was kicked out. Thought I had to be a spy. I had people vouch for me and assure them I was on their side. But I am now locked out forever, even after leaving the other group.

People are cray.

I agree. She's creating a ton of drama with her "Emergency Patreons" It's not that serious HMD!

How do you figure out who the mod is? I got banned from our neighborhood FB group (we can't figure out why!) but when I search for it, I can't find it unless I'm logged out, and when I'm logged out, I can't see the mod.

You probably have to be logged in with an account. See if your husband or a friend can search for the group and then it should say right on the group front page “Katie Smith, Larla Jones, and Sarah Jackson are admins” or whatever.
