What are they going to do to them?

It will be doggystyle

Honestly this is heartbreaking. Next level- kidnapping I guess. We saw that car thefts weren't prosecuted, so now we have dognapping.

The worst part- the guy’s other dog was stolen in APRIL- he is moving out as soon as his lease is up.

Praying they won't be sold as dog fighting bait.

Chewie, Cocoa and Buttercup stolen by 3 males with guns.

Terrible the owner didn’t have a few cans of pinto beans to whip at the armed thieves with uncanny accuracy. Definitely would have saved the day. People with guns always retreat when canned beans are lobbed (hard!) in their direction.

Pinto beans?

This is a thing? Is that real?

Aren't they really heroes? Dogs use resources that could be better spent on some random cause that DCUM believes is more noble than pet ownership.

Smart Urbanists value dogs. It’s children that seem out of place in the vibrant city.

We had a revival in families with children moving in. Children like dogs too. Clearly no place for either in DC. So many protests in this town. When is the march on the Wilson Building? Seriously.
Or is crime just not sexy enough for we locals to galvanize around? Feels like we get all sheepish when it comes to our own rights.

The owner said he regularly walked the dogs in his neighborhood. The thieves probably lived or visited his neighborhood and saw him out and about with the dogs.

The dogs will probably sold out of the area: Philly, NYC or New Jersey.

This is really sad.

I wonder if the dogs were chipped. He does not mention this.

Our DC neighbors have made it very clear this is how they want things to be. Until very recently, that the standard comment on this board. Our politicians are responding to the will of the people.

Beat spray works. It’s the new non-lethal thing.

Heartbreaking, yes. But the title is wrong: It was on the 5200 block of East Capitol Street SE, which is near the MD border, not Capitol Hill.
