It just reserves you a spot in a particular garage— they will close the garage to non-reservations when it hits capacity— but you still park anywhere you can find a spot in that garage (and if the garage says closed/full that doesn’t apply to you)

No need to wait for pickup or to find your driver after (though the shuttle to the garage on the way home from a trip can be a pain). For us, depends on the length of the time away -- if it's a week or so, parking costs more than two Ubers anyway, so may as well just let someone else drive. Both options have pluses and minuses, though.

I always drive to Dulles and slum it in economy parking. Economy parking isn’t too economical anymore. I think it’s $14 per day now. Kinda getting steep.
