Int.l flight around 8am.
Would you drive or Uber? We always drive, but DH said he saw tons of incoming traffic and crowded lots on his way out from a trip last week (It was 4pm so he saw it on the opposite side) Not sure if there was some incident or the parking has gotten busier there? |
| Meant to add- we have TSA and aren't checking bags |
| Buy the parking pass now, that way you have one less worry. |
| Yep go online purchase parking it’s super easy |
| If you are going to drive, reserve a parking place now. The garages always fill up during peak holiday travel periods. |
| Prepare for the roadway into the airport to be clogged, even at 5 am. I was surprised by this, but our car service guy says it happens every day. |
| Your flight is at 8AM? You'll be fine getting there at 6am! Or did you mean 8 PM? |
Get yourself dropped off on the lower level- won't be anyone down there at that time. |
That is actually the strategy our car service driver suggested. |
It's the reserve of the late night move- when there are only people arriving, so I pick up people on the upper level. |
Ahhhh *reverse |
Just fyi, when we flew out of Dulles a couple of weeks ago the line in the TSA Pre lane was much, much longer than the regular security lane where we just walked up to the TSA agent. |
This. I fly several times a month out of Dulles in the morning, most recently Tuesday, and the TSA/Clear line can be very long at 6:30am. Allow 45 min to get through security. |
| So if we pay ahead, how do we find our spot in the lot? |
| And why would you pay ahead vs Uber? Just curious if there is an advantage |
