That was true this fall. During the summer they had practices in Bethesda and Nova.

They played box league in McLean this fall and held additional clinics in Nova. They may be in STJ for winter since previous team was. They also have conditioning and skills sessions posted for winter in Nova.

They split time between nova and Bethesda.

Pride teams are organized by location? NOVA rosters players near DC and Loudon team rosters players from that area?

US Club Lax has 3 Pride Teams listed for 2030, Pride Red, Pride Nova and Pride Loudon.

What is this 3rd Pride Red team?

If you are looking for a team that believes they are far superior to everyone else and consistently disparages their competition, look no further than BLC. The depth and breadth of this attitude is consistent and without parallel.

Seriously there are a lot of good teams in this area with a fun atmosphere and great player development. My daughter enjoys playing for Next Level and has friends who are doing well at lots of other clubs, good luck!

Moco options
BLC has consistently been the most competitive team in the DMV for several years.Stable coaching, very athletic roster.
YJMA DMV is a very capable team. Finally have their feet set after MCE exit and moving forward. High upside, small roster.
Next Level is a quality B option. Patience for girls to learn/grow, great families. Some roster retention issues.
MC Elite - n/a

As I understand it this is true for the BLC blue team, but not BLC orange. In general, keep in mind that the same club's B-team and A-team experiences can be very different.

Thanks to PPs for the details on BLC, YJ DMV, and NL. Very useful information, the “snark free” reviews were helpful.

Does anyone have any feedback on Stars Light Blue, Stars Navy, or the current Pride NoVA Team?

There is quite a bit in this forum about Pride 2030 from the 22/23 year, not sure if the Team situation has improved this year.

The Stars parents have been noticeable silent about those teams on the boards. It's not clear what kind of experience they are having from DCUM boards. There has been turnover since Kristin Carr left. The new director appears experienced and capable of doing well as a new director. The other two senior staffers have a well known history that has been detailed on these boards. You may need to find connected families outside of this forum to get a better read on the club and team. Observing their teams, they appear to be average mid-atlantic teams. Game results are available online. It's not clear who coaches their 2030 teams since they don't post much information online.

The Pride Teams lost players to Heros, YJMA, BLC, MnD, and Stars. They lost great players and will need to rebuild. They appear to be at the same competitive level as Stars based on game results. Not clear how soon they will be able to be get back to the NGLL A level. Hopefully the environment for the girls has improved after the contentious previous season. There were complaints from the previous two years that communication was lacking. There hasn't been much chatter on these boards regarding the current environment. The coaches on both team are experienced coaches.

Who is on the new 2030 MC Elite team, like what teams did they come from?

Agree with PP that Pride is struggling a bit at the moment. IIRC, Pride Red played Stars Navy at a recent tournament and it was a very close. For now, Stars Light Blue is probably the strongest NoVA team. It remains to be seen how Pride will rebuild.

Stars parent here. We have a parent coach and are looking elsewhere.

Can you comment on the team culture and communications? One of the talking points of STJ is that they do these things well. Curious if that's true. Poor team culture and lack of communications frequently lead to families leaving teams.

That would depend on whether you consider YJMA to be a NOVA team.

I am the PP you quoted and yes, I agree. The current YJ team is better than Stars. I excluded them only because they were discussed with the Maryland teams above.
