KIPP College Prepatory in NE

I drive past every morning and see groups of teenagers smoking outside, pushing each other into the street, and yelling, while school staff stands about 20 feet down the sidewalk ignoring them.

NP. There is no one who actually lives near Union Market (who has eyes) that hasn't witnessed large groups of KIPP kids getting high in the morning. There is lots of racism in this world in DC and on DCUM. There are dog whistles to be sure. Stating observed and observable facts is certainly not that. It is not unreasonable to consider pervasive, public drug use by groups of students when considering school choices.

No one other than the PP actually believes it’s a dog whistle to comment on witnessing drug use at a school where a student was murdered in recent memory.

You clearly have some axe to grind if you’re willing to lie and call MoCo lily white.

wow this truly says something about the extremely pitifully low expectations for schools …

The racism of low expectations, thinking it's good if they're high as that will reduce violent tendencies. Pathetic.
Does the principal not care about the image these students and staff outside are projecting to the neighborhood.

They certainly don't care what you think, and being high does not equate to low expectations, you probably still call it reefer smh

Why are people feeding the trolls in this thread? No one thinks kids smoking up before school is A-OK or an environment you'd want to send your kids into. And the multiple murders in front of the school during pick up/drop off are surely an additional deterrent.

Time for the burbs bro.

It’s not like Cheech up above is sending their kids to this school.

Is it a dog whistle to mention a student was shot outside the school this morning?
