Please pray - 8 year old DD rushed to ER with sepsis.

They've given her a mask and put lots of tubes in for her to get antibiotics. She's less awake and isn't too aware of all that's happening than when we called but trying not to panic about everything. Hoping your prayers reach her, thanks all for the words.

OP, it sounds like you did the right thing and caught it early. Sending good thoughts to your family.

OP here we're both not allowed in for space, just want it to all calm down. I've posted here as a vent of my thoughts and to get prayers out for her. I wanted the strength of support of complete strangers. I don't want to distress people

My husband had bacterial meningitis at 6mo, almost died, NICU stay. Today all he has is some calf tightness on one side and some neuropathic pain (very mild cerebral palsy) which he is too lazy to do the stretching exercises for so it must not bother him that much

Prayers for you OP.

Sending good thoughts, OP. It sounds like you did everything right! I don't know what sepsis is and would not have known to rush my kid to the hospital with a fever and rash. Glad you got her in quickly.

OP here, we're swapping in 20 mins so will go silent. Please do read up on it. They've spoken to DH and expect it's an infection from surgery she had on a broken arm recently. Trying to be far too impressive at gymnastics. From what I've been told the body goes rogue and attacks everything. I might be wrong. But the important bit is hopefully the antibiotics were given early enough to fight it off.
