Christmas Gifts for gardeners

This is the appropriate response if the gardener is someone who works for OP. But I think OP meant that gardening was a hobby.

I like unique vases for my flowers.
Nice bottles to store home dried herbs.
"The latest tool" that we hate to splurge on for ourselves.
Interesting seed variety to experiment with next season.
May sound silly, but I recently got a 'garden shirt' from Duluth trading and it is quite useful! I'm surprised how much I've come to rely on it.

Which shirt? Can you post a link?

Pp should post a link for other gardeners but if this is the op, a shirt is not a good gift.

She's at a point where she's dividing her native perennials so I don't know that she needs more plants . . . .

LOL guessing you don't know many gardeners. Always, always, always room for something new and interesting.

She's in a plant swap where she . . . swaps the things she divides and can receive what she wants. So, a GC for plants actually wouldn't work for her.

If the PP meant a gardening shirt like this link, I would totally love to have that. I would put gardening clippers in one pocket, sunglasses in another, phone with audiobook playing in another.

She still wants plants from a nursery, I promise! There are things your friends don’t have, a new color of this, a later flowering version of that, a flat of seedlings from a native plant that is hard to germinate. And lots of plants don’t split well (you can’t split a honeysuckle or wisteria). But there are indeed a ton of gardening gifts, so no worries.

My favorites are a dozen 10ft bamboo poles, really nice wire or twine, and a bulk load of manure. No one seems to believe me, though, so I usually end up with more garden gloves.

No you don't understand! Being in a plant swap does NOT mean you don't need more plants. It's evidence of an endless plant need.
