| FDA is working on using pre-mix substitutes with milk powder. Like pancake mixes that only need water. This is for schools. |

| We don't have milk at all anymore. |
| We bought flats of shelf-stable single-serving milk during the height of the lockdowns/pandemic, just in case things went even more pear shaped. Used them to make muffins, etc. Funny to think about now. |
NY dairy farmers produced an average of 15 billion units of milk in 2022. They've produced less than 10 in 2023. They're not putting out farm bills for nothing. https://www.nysenate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/2023/michelle-hinchey/senate-agriculture-chair-michelle-hinchey-and |
Let me attempt to connect the dots because just posting links isn't a good way to get a message across. The demand for milk is declining. As a result, milk producers and dairy famers are reducing production. Therefore, the price of milk may rise? As an alternative, we should look to the ultra pasteurized milk? I read the linked article. While I don't have much time for the milk lobby, I do find it sadly entertaining that schools pulled out whole milk but also kept in the massively terrible lunch crap in. Bosco sticks and Gatorade, anyone? |
