Any thoughts on ROSA Legends soccer academy

No one is forcing the players to follow him. If players are following him would mean that he’s a great coach. (I don’t know who he is.)

We have left and stayed at clubs and coaches in the past. Quite a few of my DD’s current teammates are leaving to another club because they didn’t like the coach, but my DD is staying cause she likes her coach.

So what’s the big deal?

How do multiple teams follow a coach to another club at once?
How is there organic room at the new club for so many new players?

This isn't just coach changing clubs and a couple players going with him/her

You should ask ROSA leadership why ROSA is so bad that multiple teams are leaving then.

Clubs can alway create new level of teams to absorb new players. There are tons of large clubs that has 3-5 level of teams in each age group especially at the younger ages.

Why didn't they leave before the coach if Rosa is so bad?

Did you consider maybe that the coach was great? We love our coach. My DD is staying with the club because of the coach. We ask the club if our coach will remain the same before we sign up for tryouts. If the coach leaves, we leave. Easy as that. I’m

Players (and parents) typically join clubs due to the coach, not the club itself. They might like a coach due to the coaches’ demeanor, coaching style, development, training, etc.

Keep in mind that I said “typically” as there are quite a few players/parents that join clubs due to the brand name (BSC, Potomac, etc.).

ROSA, on the other hand, has no brand name at all. If it wasn’t for this thread, I would’ve have known of ROSA.

He wasn't just the coach. He was the director of the boys side of the club. The ROSA boys and Potomac negotiated to bring over players/coaches/teams. The ROSA girls side was untouched. The girls side is the same. The boys side is starting a new regime.

Don't most coaches stay in the same age group? In my experience you only get a coach for a year or two at most. Pretty soon you are going to run out of clubs if you change every time there's a coach change

Some clubs rotate their coaches, some clubs move their coaches along with the team. At the younger age groups, it’s good to rotate coaches so players are exposed to different coaches and their styles/tactics.

Incoming alert for ROSA kids who followed their coach: POTOMAC rotates coaches every two years!

Two thumbs down from this mom. Do not recommend. Not trustworthy, just find a more established club.

Agree PP definitely thumbs down. Son moved to ROSA last year, coaches told us that we would all be moving to Potomac ECNL team, but most of our team only got offered Potomac third team.

I mean why would anyone believe that though? Did parents genuinely believe their kids were ECNL level kids?

We’ve played ROSA teams before. They’re good, usually EDP 1 or 2. But only a few kids on those teams would make an ECNL or MLSNext team.
