Most things have increased in price since 2010…

In my experience in Provo and other islands, one round trip in a taxi is typically the cost of one day of car rental.

I know prices have gone up, on taxis too. But back in 2010, a RT to dinner was not the cost of a 1 day car rental.

We have stayed at Seven Stars twice and never rented a car. There is a gourmet grocery across the street from resort, an upscale shopping restaurant district five minutes away, multiple other restaurants within 5 minute walk of resort. Any excursions were booked through resort who would handle transport.

What do you mean it’s not hospitable? I found it that way.

In between fancy, lush resorts…the island was poor and very dry (not green).

You need to stay home. I stayed at seven stars and rented a car and we drove around. Teen son and I drove to Taylor Bay, Da Conch Shack, coco van etc. It was fun. Not gonna sit on a resort and eat at the same restaurants or limit ourselves to walking distance.

What does a scrubby island have to do with hospitality?

Many islands are scrubby - Turks, Anguilla, the ABCs.. not all places are lush like Tortola and St Lucia. Seems like you didn’t do your research. Most islands have communities that look poor or different from where you live.
